Hello Pat, would your thoughts and concerns be of similair nature to what Kev and I have spoken about? I'm not knocking anyone, for who am I to judge, but that's why I like people to be open minded and say what they see and obviously If yourself, Kev and I can see it why can't they? I have gone off the show for this reason and only watch to give my buddy a few votes. Who would you of selected If you were on the panel Pat out of the bottom three?

Ok guys so it's the Final tonight. As far as I am aware this will be the format of the show. They will all sing one song with the bottom votes getting the nudge. Then the two finalists will go head to head with another song, with the eventual winner crowned by the voters.
Thomas' song of choice for tonight will be, "Love is all" by Red Hurley. If he gets through to the final two he will sing Colin Ray's "Blue Magic".
Over to Kev with the Betting. lol
I would like to wish Thomas all the best for the final. Win, loose or draw he has done very well to get this far.

Hi guys just thought I'd pop in to give my opinion on the final. Carmel mcloughlan throughout the series has been flawless. She was a very deserving winner in my eyes. Thomas gave me a ring last night to let me know how he'd done. Again due to work commitments I missed the chance to see not only all three contestans, but the chance to see a band that I love listening to daily which is the High Kings. I raved about them on the old board, such fantastic singers and musicians.
Anyway getting back to the competition, I thought Thomas did exceptional to get to the final, I'ts excellent exposure for the fella, and he had a couple of very good offers before he left the quays last night inwhich he can think about. He lost out in the end to 27 votes which is remarkable, and to a singer that across Ireland "everyone knows" in Carmel McLoughlanhe has done himself, his family and his county proud. I'd like to thank everyone who contributed with voting, and posting on this thread. And will keep you up to date on what his future holds.
Kindest Regards
Kieran

Please forgive me Kimo for not spotting your question before now. In response I’ll simply say that the set up in this instance, where the “judges” decide who stays in until the final is not in my view the best approach as it does not allow the public’s verdict to prevail. But if we are to be philosophical about the whole thing we should add that if they have been given that responsibility by the show’s producers then we must ultimately respect their decisions, even though we may not agree with them. I am glad in the end, however, the girl won; she was over and over again the one with the highest votes and never had to rely on any from the panel to keep her there, so, well done to her for being such a deserving winner. Young Thomas did very well too for getting so close, he can be proud of the way he performed and carried himself. I am sure he will gain much form the exposure, as too will Justin. The Highland Kings were amazing
