Just an update guys for anyone who never got the chance to watch the show last night, Thomas got through and will now feature in the final 7 same time next week. So thank you all for your support. I will get him to record that song that he done on the show maybe at the weekend and post it for everyone to hear onthe members stage as a thank you for everyone who took the time to vote, and the others from further a field that unfortunately do not have access to the channel.
Thanks Once again

I did manage to watch and vote as promised. He (Thomas) did very well vocally and had a wonderful stage presence. A very professional performance and deserved his place. The poor girl, the one compared to "Posh Spice" was so nervous it was difficult to hear her real voice. Hopefully in next weeks show she'll fare better. I think that of the final three the guy who was picked to go through was extremely lucky

I have to agree with you Pat, out of the bottom three he was very lucky. He is Kathy Durken's son. The girl that you rightfully said was very nervous indeed, I thought at one point she was going to drop the microphone her hand shaked that much. Now this same lady has been touring with Jimmy Buckley for the past year as he is her mentor so you'd think that the venues that he plays, "always sold out" that nerves wouldn't come into play with her. Ah well, what did you make of the band Pat? I love a band with a steel guitar just adds that bit extra.

I thought that the mic sound wasn't great....I know Jason McGilligan and he can sound a lot better than that..some of them had to hold it right tight to their mouth and it became ''muffly''..while others seemed to have more power...the band was light in some of the songs and you are right about the lack of brass in Make Me An Island....Martin Cleary on steel keep shaking his head as if he knew it wasn't right...and as for Justin McGurk...my God he murdered Love Me...shouted and shreeked his way through it.....Sinead Taggart ( the nervy one ) I think has a good chance of winning it

Kemo, The band was smooth, typical of what you'd expect from lads well use to the score. I really enjoyed "jamming" with them on my old guitar as they backed up the acts - seems I know all the songs Going by her performance on the night I'd be surprised if Sinead Taggart won it outright, as Kev (Shanless) expects, but he and others may know what she sounds like when she isn't so nervous. So, I look forward to seeing (hearing) her next week to see how she goes. As for the other girls, the first one was a fine country singer but the girl who sang 3rd (can't think of her name) was the best of them in my view.

I thought that Jane McNamee has put in some great performances to date. She can have again a bit of a soft vocal but she puts a lot of passion and feeling into her singing. Last weeks show she did a lovely versioin of a Crystal Gayle song which the judges credited her on. I think with the show recorded live that their was always going to be sound and mixing issues. In regards to Justin Mc Gurk, which would be your fellow county man shanless if I'm not mistaken, it was totally the wrong song choice for him. I think that he could do a lot better with a better song.

LOLOLOLOL...Kemo.....I'm a Tyrone man...isn't Justin from Kildress?....and singing with a Derry man?.....spit lololol.....and maybe you are right about his choice of song...but to be honest with you I didn't think that he has done any of the songs that he has sang justice.....they way I look and listen to it is.....COULD YOU REALLY SEE THE SINGER DOING A FULL NIGHTS WORK...AND COULD YOU LISTEN TO THEM FOR A FULL NIGHT?...as for the band Pat...I thought that some times it was over played and sometimes not enough...but that's only my view....lack of brass and fiddle didn't help it either....is TG4 on a budget?

LOL I knew you where a Tyrone man Kev, I remember on the old forum the craic we used to have with the All Ireland Thread, but if I'm not mistaken, are you still living in County Derry. I hope you have the correct colours out your window on Saturday night. lol Getting back on topic, yes they would have to be on a very tight budget as I'd say a lot of it is sponsered through that Jet travel(the ad at the break). I still think they could've stretched that extra couple of pounds to include a brass and fiddle section. Have any of you ever been to the quays in Galway before? I've never played there but I know that it used to be an old church and has been transformed. So I don't think that the accoustics would be the very best.

Had to have a look over my shoulder as I am currently working in derry..

Hi All, I have a query and would you help me solve the same. I am a One Man Band from Mumbai, India and presently using a Yamaha PSR 2100 & PSR 3000. I use Cakewalk Sonar 1.31 to make my midi sequences but have come across a peculiar problem while saving on the PSR 3000 the songs on external drives (Memory Card, Floppy or USB Pen Drive) when the voices of the song are in GS format, however the same is easily saved through the PSR 2100 on external drives. I am presently planning to buy a PSR S900 which is built on the lines of the Tyros & PSR 3000 series and am not sure if I can edit the voices of a midi sequence once I have disposed the PSR 2100. Please do let me know if there is a problem or if I need to change some settings on the software or the keyboards in order to sav ethe same. Thanks and looking forward for a solution Regards Ken Ph: +91 22 98675 71327
