Ooooooh I think I'm envious now! Those 'blueies' are perrrrdy!!! On my screen they are a very nice shade of lavender to a rich bluish purple. Quite a nice combination of shades.
Interesting.... I just noticed that our NAMES are also different colors.

Keep posting JazzCat, Judging by Jacqui and others, when you get to the magic 1,000 posts those stars take on the colour (BE spelling!!!!) that you are looking for. But hey! To be awarded a whole chunk of cool blueies by the illustrious admin for keeps has to be the height of cooldom! ;D Thank you Pat! Susanne noticed the cool new stars yesterday and the newly acquired status of "MIDI guru" (still unsure about that one) and muttered something about a "cool dude". At least, that's what I thought it translated to. On second thoughts though, I think it was something far less complimentary! Completely unrepeatable. Actually I think I'm being encouraged to get back to article writing. All the best, JohnG.

You had the MIDI Guru there under your name all along. So did I, or so I thought. But now it appears that I've been demoted to 'full member'. ...whatever that is. Zat mean I just had a good meal? LOL I'd say I'm a semi- guru, with one heck of a long way to go, binary and hex wise, to be a full fledged guru, like yourself. I tell ya, I'm th' one who should have this ... "The more I get to know about MIDI the less I realise I know." ... as my sig line!
OK, so if I keep posting nonsencical ramblings, such as this, I'll gain stars and colors and... 'status'? Nahhh, no applause needed. Just throw money! LOL!

Seems logical, except I would have thought our dear (quiet lately) friend Shyam should have earned another star by now IMHO. The little yellow ones count up until you reach the 500 mark, then swap for the greenies up to 1000, then blueies up to who knows! You need to score more than 2,000 Jacqui then we can see what comes next. C'mon hurry up! Anyone heard from Shyam recently? JohnG.

Hi JohnG Thanks for your recomendation, bu I guess I wont deserve that for sitting in the back row all these days. I think I'm a little old fashioned and conservative, but I cant help feel kinda LONELY in the Forum. I still get some Midis from our good friends here, but not having the Midi Library around does feel a little odd. No matter what our dear Pat's opinion is, I still feel very strange posting in good thought provoking articles into the Chit Chat space. Call me silly but well. thats how I feel. I didnt wish to argue and preferred to stay quiet. Its tough to get used to a new short Forum and as I said earlier, I feel lonely !! I do peep in quite often but feel awkward to post in Warmest regards to all Shyam ................................. siting on the back bench, twiddling his thumbs !

No matter what our dear Pat's opinion is, I still feel very strange posting in good thought provoking articles into the Chit Chat space. It's all about convenience and trying to make things simpler for every member of the forum. Too often we have members who are confused as to which section to post into and this was particular evident with the two general talking areas. But tell you what, we'll reactivate the talking Points section and see if this time members will use it only for those serious, thought provoking subjects. If it works then we'll let it remain.

Hi Shyam,
Nice to see a post from you again. I had noticed that you login from time-to-time by seeing your name down on the list at the foot of the top page. So I knew you were still around.
I wonder what thought provoking ideas you have been waiting to post to us now that you have your "talking points" section back up again.
Maybe if people just post chit-chat here then perhaps our dedicated team of illustrious administrators and moderators will move it to the appropriate section.
All the best, JohnG.
