Hi guys I have the Cakewalk 9 on my PC. I find theres no sound from the Drums (No.10 channel) though the midis play fine on my keyboard !! Not all the midis are behaving this way but most of them are drum muted. Any ideas why this is happening ? I've tried assigning different patches etc etc but of no avail Please help............... thanks in advance
By the way how do I attach the midi file in this post, for analysis ?

Shyam download the Cakewalk instruction manual posted by John G and have a look. The best way to learn is trial and error, ask for help when you get stuck.

Hi Shyam, Took a quick look for you and found the file to be fine. The volume for the drums is set at 123, not 33, and sounds pretty loud to me. True, there is no value for the Expression Controller, but when none is inserted it defaults automatically to 127 (the MIDI standard). I put one in, then took it out again, because it had absolutely no effect on playback. The velocities of the hits are fine between 80 (forte) and 123 (forte fortissimo) so no problems there. I should look for the problem within the equipment you're using for playback. See the attached picture. JohnG. Attachments:

Hi Shyam,
I had a file from here the other day and the drum track duration on all notes were set at "0".. is that the case with your file?
