Hi Everyone Do any of you feel that the media coverage of Goody's last momemts in life was correct. Yes we all know that she wanted it that way, but did the media have to? Its a very very sensitive subject and I wonder how I should feel, how I sghould react . I am confused with my thoughts . Jade Goody created an awareness among the women in the world, about cervical cancer, that was unpecedented and today, thanks to her, many millions of women are going for their check up, which could show early detection and save their lives. Yes , thats so very true, but I cant help but feel that atleast her last moments on this earth, should have been hers.

Hi Shyam,
Ultimately it was her decision to go out as she did. My sympathies and condolence to her family, friends and fans.

This is a very sensitive post indeed Shyam and you raise good points in it, i think she has done a lot for women with her very high profile about her illness of that there is no doubt and the fact that you in India are posting about her proves that, but for me i think that she should have been allowed to go to sleep without all the circus around her the illness she had is horrific as is any cancer lord knows i understand that and so i think a little dignity should have been there for her, but rest in peace Jade Goody

I just spotted that, George. It is unfortunately the way of the world that some are so quick to cash-in in someones passing.

I agree all the media hype was at her behest - but I still feel there should have been some sanctity in her final moments. May her noble soul rest in peace and may sensibility prevail on the media in the future, if called upon to cover such personal events. Though Jade Goody is not my personal friend, I feel upset and hurt by such insensitivities.

In her last days she showed remarkable bravery and confirmed to many a side of her character not usually seen.

I think personally she wouldn't of wanted it any other way. The camera was part of her life. Even through the darker days at the end she still tried to manage a smile. I think a lot of people get very emotionaly attached to such reality stars, bearing in mind she spent the best part of 3 months entertaining the nation in Big Brother. May her soul rest in peace, and may her family find the strength to heal over the coming months. A very sad day when a mother of 28 leaves behind two very young sons.

Whatever the reasons behind the media circus, Jade has made sure her two sons will be well looked after, like any mother feathering the nest, and for that she has my utmost respect.
R.I.P Jade.

Took a lot of courage to do what she did...... Just hope for her kids sake her husband catches himself on.... A lot of young women were surely alerted to their need to take personal health seriously....... Just hope her going public what ever her reasons will not be in vain..........

Her message will most definitely go through and will be in every person's mind. Goody really had unbelievable courage and determination to do what she did and no woman can ever ignore her message. As George(weegeo) rightly said, she's really a Star in the Sky"

Hi Everyone "Star in the Sky" was a good way to describe Jade Goody and George's description made me think - why dont we musos make a song for her and for all the good she's done by being so very courageous upto her very last breath ? If some of you could send in your feelings about her, we could put it all together and decicate a song to her memory ?

I'm sorry to say that I don't agree with a lot that has been said in this thread. Surely she has made a lot of women more aware of the dreaded cancer...and I want to be clear about this...I WOULD NOT WISH IT ON ANYONE....but how did she come to the public eye....a rasist ..foul mouthed bully...what example was she setting to the young women who watched BB then?....It is good that her kids are secure in their future....but I feel that she could have given back to the Cancer Foundation a little of what she was milking from the publicity that she was getting...to me it was like a circus roadshow....Wendy Richards died and was buried with grace.....but this Goody Roadshow still isn't over yet.....a funeral like Lady Diana's? ?.......I'm sorry if I have offended anyone with these comments...but I remember my best friends father dying with cancer and two days before he past away he said to me that he never knew it so hard to get out of this life......he didn't have 21 limos at his funeral..and he was held in the highest of esteem by the REAL people who knew him.....may he and Jade Goody rest in peace.
