Some points you have made are quite good, but some are factually wrong, may i deal with the first 1 [racist] she was very visibly in the `public eye` before she got caught up in her `racist` comments in bb infact her career was at it`s peak just before she said what she did, now i have never watched bb at all but i know that in the first series that made her name] she was seen as quite silly and even stupid, but she turned this to her advantage. Then you say about giving money back to the `cancer foundation`well according to her pa she has put a substantial amount of money into the said trust and even after her death is continuing to do so. I would agree it did turn into a circus but as some of the media pics showed i would doubt if she knew what was going on around her and the blame for the `circus` must be levelled at her publicist Max Clifford. Now as a sufferer myself i want to say that you haven`t offended me but if i had been in her shoes as a parent i would probably have done the same to `safeguard` the children`s future.
Kind Regards

Just read an update on her, it seems she has left her new husband nothing in her will, now that shows that perhaps she did have some sense after all, as he is nothing short of a yob who is currently waiting sentencing on another assault charge, the children get 2million pounds each and all their school fee`s have been paid she also gave her mother her house she also gave one hundred thousand to an orphanage in India so i would like to say not bad for a woman that has been accused of doing nothing with her short life

Hi, Maureen here, am new to this Forum.......I did put a post on.....or rather thought I had, but now numptie that I am I think I wasn't logged in ;D
As for Jade, well she did it HER WAY......and may she rest in peace. However at the end of the day, it isn't really about what WE think, it will be her two little boys that will have to live with it when we have long forgotten her..........how will they feel.........I pray God that when the time comes for them to understand and have to take it all in, AND HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT, that the good friends that supported Jade in her hours of need will be there to support, guide and explain how and why the whole sad episode was played out the way it was......it is the little boys who will have to take her 'legacy' on board. God Bless Her Little Boys

Shanless, Many people do feel the same way you did, because of her racist comments. She was even called the most hated woman in the world !!!. As an Indian, we did feel kinda bad as all that wrath was shown to our Shilpa Shetty, a gem of a gurl. However, at the end of the day I think we need to forget all that and put it behind us. We dont need to carry feelings of hate or ill feeling - life is too short and too precious to carry all these burdens of hate and vengeance. These outbursts of hers could have been because of forceful emotions generated by her cancer (of which she would have known nothing about at that time ) I'm sure people will think back now and feel it could have been the reason. I dont wish to sermonise here, but I cant help but feel sad that many of us carry uneccessary feelings of hate, revenge etc and burn ourselves with these fires. It is so easy to make a little time to think about this, forgive whoever it is, and just move on with your life Jade Goody has created such an awareness in the whole world, it is unbelievable how many millions oif women are going for check ups and God knows how many millions might save their lives by getting the right treatment at the right time.. Yes the final moments wre hyped up so much , it was a circus and I still feel the sanctity of her last momemts should have been preserved.

I may stir up the hornets net here. It is very sad that Jade died at such a young age, leaving her very young children, and a husband who didnt deserve her. At the end of the day, Jade is being hailed as a major celebrity, well I'm sorry but she wasn't. She showed up on a reality show and made a name for herself. There are young women dying of Cancer all over the world, leaving young children behind , and they cannot leave Millions of pounds for their children, unfortunately, but I'm fed up of the media hype that poor Jade is the only person who has gone through this horrendous illness. Lets get real here please.

As I had expressed my views in my first post and made it clear that I would not wish cancer on anyone..I am just emphasizing that it is a topic that has many different views...we all don't agree...but we all have a view.

That's a fair point and no-one has suggested otherwise, all here are entitle and encouraged to express their opinions and as long as this is done respectfully there'll be no problem. Quoting my remarks to Shyam's post in the manner you did still does not make much sense to me.

Well I agree with what Shyam was saying....but I also agree with Geraint...my respect to Jade Goody for raising the awareness of the disease....but the big top on this circus has to come down........R.I.P.

This is a very interesting discussion with a total contrast of opinions...i think, however, that its not fair to say she is unjust in receiving celebrity status...the public creates "Celebrity" and a large majority of people liked her....how can you argue with that?? Begrudgery maybe??

Begrudgery maybe?? A good point. In the end it is the public who determine who is or isn’t a celebrity, we may not agree or appreciate when someone is perceived in this manner but that’s of little consequence to those who’ve made up their mind. I was mortified to learn there are actually people out there that do not like Elvis Presley, use to get into fights in school over this back in the day, but later i just realised not everyone is everyone’s cup of tea.

Hello Everyone - all of you have posted in your thoughts very sensibly and there's no thought of hurting anybody or wishing any one ill,. Gerraint said There are young women dying of Cancer all over the world, leaving young children behind , and they cannot leave Millions of pounds for their children, unfortunately, but I'm fed up of the media hype that poor Jade is the only person who has gone through this horrendous illness It is a fact that Jade Goody was the only one who dared to let the media inside her personal ward, to report her condition to the world, so that women could see and act on the knowledge that such siyuations can be avoided by early check up and diagnosis. I think she deserves to called a "celebrity" by this one brave act and not by what she was in BB Once again, I still reiterate that her very last moments could have been spared from the public media gaze., but her brave act in showing her bald head with few threads of hair on it, because of her treatment, still remains vivid in my mind and stirs the lump in my throat. May her soul rest in peace !

Hmmmmm [stand back and wait for the flac lol] As i see this post we have several differing opinions first what makes a celebrity?? answer YOU and ME thats who and for whatever reason she attained this status so well done Jade 2nd showing her disease: well hands up who is suffering the same horrendous illness it whatever form hmmmmmmmmm deadly silence now, well i`ll put my hand up then and i must say if i had been in her position with young kids i would have done anything i possibly could to make their life secure and thats what she did so well done Jade. I find it to be ludicrous to condemn someone that has made her children`s life secure, she has made sure her yob of a husband doesn`t get a single penny and i agree with that. So lets try and be a little forgiving just as the Indian people did and let her rest.
Goodnight Jade
