Hi folks, well Ole Simmo has just found a little bit of spare time to do a sort of a "catchup Post" sorry for not being so active on the forum just lately but i have been logging on just to try & keep up to speed on all the stuff thats been happening, also apologies for not being able to listen to & comment on a lot of the members stage acts,i've been having a real hassle with our server since our holiday & because of the plan we are on which has fairly small download limits before going on to the extra megs which they hit you hard on,but having eldest son return home for a while puts a bit more pressure on the system because he uses it a fair bit as well, anyway we have done a deal to get more usage allowance which will be starting anytime now so i'm looking forward to that.I'm still catching up with everthing but its looking good around the place now,Patricia has been quite unwell with a nasty virus but that also is just about cleared up,we are looking forward to our summer, had a touch of it last weekend when it got around 37c so everythings a "goer"in the Simmo house at the moment.I am right into the old folks concerts again in fact the phone has been going nostop since getting back from the big holiday,i had already had all of my regulars booked in before we went away but i've picked up a heap more as well.My music computer has been playing up (6 months old) & i am just hanging out to get some more songs edited & added to my list plus it will be soon time to think about Xmas carols as well.I am using s/cell with sonar le but i am having all sorts of probs insta;lling them so that they recognise each other,it was working well prior to going away but i think the lad had a bit of a fiddle with it, he told me that he tried to do some recording without success,i have followed the manual as best as an ole bu##*+# like me can but i'm a little out of my depth, trouble is i forgot a lot of stuff not using it for 4 months i actually had it running smoothly at one stage. Will catchup with Rainbow,Tiny,Steve, the "Gerry" twins!!!Geraint,Oliver,Jacqui,Lena, all the Irish & scottish contingent,& heaps more i cant think of at the moment,oh also Mark, sorry we didn't catchup for a beer, maybe another time,i know i've missed a lot of yer's it must be a bit of an age thing, anyway folks Ole Simmo's on the loose again, will be in touch, best wishes to all,Terry,PS just tried to post it without success, will try again

,Gawd!!! i forgot me old mates Shyam,Levis ,big mike,Weegeo,Pat also the one & only John G,!!Ole Simmo,in the corner hanging he"s head in shame Hi Terry, Tsk, tsk, tsk! Hang your head in shame indeed! Just 'cos you mailed me privately doesn't mean you can ignore me, or others, on the forum. ;D Don't forget to think about the settings you made on the SonicCell for the file you sent me, then I can crack on with messing it up good and proper! All the best to Patricia, I do hope she's soon over the virus. It isn't those nasty ants again is it? So sorry I won't be able to come over for your celebration, nothing would give me more pleasure. I've been to Brisbane, well Bribie Island actually (the contract was in Ningi), and to Sydney, and thoroughly enjoyed both. I had a flight in a Korean war helicopter (M.A.S.H.) with the door on my side taken off, from the other airport (forget it's name) over the Olympic Stadium and over the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, then to Bondi Beach(?). Had a smile a mile wide for the best part of a week. ;D The trip to Perth was postponed and then never reinstated. Definitely my loss. Still waiting for my lottery win, then you might well get a call to find me somewhere to live there. All the best to you both. John and Susanne. Some images of Sydney: The "Chopper"! (minus door) In retrospect, this was a single or twin seater, ours took three. Pilot in front, and two passengers. It didn't have the adaptation to take two stretchers on the skids. The Stadium: The Bridge: The Opera House: Great memories!

:)Hi John, sorry about the mixup, the lonesome file i sent you was actually in its unedited state except that i took all of the volume out of the acoustic guitar track because i can do that live myself on a gig,the midifile actually had not been through the s/cell owing to Ole Simmo mucking up the settings when i uninstalled & reinstalled both s/cell & Sonar le,i have since uninstalled both programmes again but the good news is i have got someone coming out next monday to install & set everything up for me,hopefully it will be money well spent??,i am hoping the problems are not related to the computer itself,by the time i am finished getting it right it would have probably been the cheaper option to have paid your airfare over to Perth & got the" Guru" himself to fix the problems ;D, anyway John i hope i didn't confuse you to much, let me know,Good catching up with you again,Terry

No Problemo Simmo! Just let me know when you're ready to go. A few more images, this time from ground level: Nearby shot of bridge. You can just see the climbers near the top if you look closely. The Opera House from across the bay. The view from my hotel window. I instantly fell in love with Sydney. But doesn't everyone? JohnG. The hotel, believe it or not, was close to King's Cross station!

Should have added, the day after taking the photo of the Opera House, I was sitting, in the evening, in the audience in a great seat, watching and especially listening to Mozart's Magic Flute.
I was so knocked out by it that, upon emerging, I found that I had completely forgotten the name of my hotel. So I had to walk back across Sydney at about 10:30 pm to the King's Cross area.
What a terrible penance to pay! ;D JohnG.
