There have been getting fewer and fewer people on here over the past 5 years. I guess people move on and find other things to do. There are also a lot fewer people using midi files than there used to be. I personally prefer them to mp3's as I can pull them to pieces and customise them.
There also seem to be fewer people working as solo and duo entertainers than there used to be on the circuit.

Yes , i agree with oliver 101.
I love using midi mainly because i am a guitarist / vocalist,
Stand alone vocalists are mostly using mp3 tracks which are available , free, everywhere.
I still check in here most days to see if i can help or get help from a member with any problems i have .
Must say i've had some excellent help from the members here over the years.

Hello to everyone! Yes I'm definitely a GUILTY party when it comes to saying I don't stop in here as much as I used to...I,like many others here,have become very comfortable and proficient in MIDI and MIDI programming,and I have no reason to change to any other format...The possibilities in just the editing portion of MIDI files just doesn't compare to any other format..Of course we all know from hearing on the web that midi files have a bad reputation for cheesiness and sounding robotic,but if you're a good programmer and take the immense amount of time to do it properly,I beg to differ...I've heard some really on the spot files,and I'm learning something new everyday as I work to always become a better programmer in this format...
I want to say GOD BLESS to everyone here who reads this...May this site stay alive and well,as I wish for all of you here....Take Care Guys!

I'm still around, Just!,.. I'm also guilty of not logging in as often as I used to, have tried a few times this year, and not been able to because of password errors, but finally managed to sort it today, a lot of the old faithful members that were here from the start seemed to vanish a few years back.
I hope you've all made it through the storm of the last 16 months and things are starting to get back to some kind of normal again for you all, I found it all totally depressing not to be out gigging, and everything being shut down, was like living through a bad recurring dream, don't know if the gigs will ever be quite the same again to be honest, how are you all finding it?
I have been using a a few more MP3's than midi's for a while, but recently as some of the gigs had started coming back again, decided to try and sort a few midis again, and found I had almost completely forgotten how to do anything with them even just the basics, so think I will have to have a complete refresher course on how to edit them.
A see lot of the good company's that were doing the really good midi files, seem to have closed down, ie Emerald and Simply Sounds, but would be interested to know who you guys recommend now to try now, any new ones started up.

Hi All, I to am guilty of not popping in as often as I should do.
I think other than Midi requests the old conversational topics on here are few and far between now, especially with Facebook having taken over from most Forums.
Midi Hangout had a Facebook page a while back but I think it disappeared.
Actually to be truthful I'm surprised this site still exists at all, it's a bit like a ship without a Captain....
