A big hi to all on the site from the Simmo mob down under, hoping that all members are keeping safe in there part of the world what with all of the major issues that are affecting so many countries, especially the virus. We are very fortunate in our part of Perth (Western Australia) with only just a few cases of the virus being found, this is mainly due to the hard line our government has taken ie shutting down our borders from the rest of Aussie. The penalties are very harsh for anyone who is found to have slipped in unnoticed,ie a big fine plus a possible jail sentence. Having friends and relatives in the UK we are able to be kept informed on the situation on what is happening and it looks a lot worse than ourselves. The aged care facilities here are not doing so well and are pretty well under lockdown with minimum visitors allowed in, because I have now given up giving concerts at these aged care homes etc it was quite timely because all concerts entertainment etc has been cancelled until further notice. Our eldest son is a full time entertainer playing at all of these places is feeling the pinch but has substituted it to do busking in Perth city, he seems to be doing ok. He also has an online little business selling anything to do with music, memorabilia etc which keeps him going. He is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to this sort of thing. Been spending a fair bit of time with my good lady in the garden at the moment, planting all the summer veggies etc as the weather has started to warm up, getting up to the 30c plus on some days plus we really need a bit of rain as its been a while since we had a decent fall. Picking our orange's, mandarins at the moment and it looks like a bumper crop of grapes are on the way as well. Well that's the latest news from down Baldivis way best wishes to all member's and there families, hope things get back to normal asap.Simmo and family.
PS.I am nearly back to normal after my ladder fall a few months ago, breaking my lower spine it has been a long job but I am still having to avoid any type of lifting that would put pressure on my back Best wishe's to all...Simmo
