Midi sites that are not midi at all

Has anybody downloaded a midi that won't play from a 'MIDI' site?

Well I have , and the ones that won't play are actualy audio files like an mp3.

What you get when clicked on is 'This movie won't play'!

VLC player will play them without changing the three letter extn from .mid.

If you look at the size of the file ,they are a few MB instead of KB ie. 2.4 MB .
