What JazzCat has been up to

I am now the co-owner and V.P. of a friend and family owned cellular company. It's a brand new business in which I became heavily involved in last February. It keeps me hopping and thanks to my 'promotion' I have more serious responsibilities than I bargained for. And all of this came out of what I thought was going to be one day of helping out!!

I am a member of a Blues band now:
Pete Johnson & Jus' Blues, Baby. Been rehearsing with them and had a gig with them on the 12th. It was a blast!

Have been preparing for the straight ahead jazz gig of my dreams. Why do I say that? Because of the quality of musicians who agreed to do the gig with me. I expected hemming and hawing, and questions about what the pay was, yada yada. Instead I got straight out 'Yes' from each of them. One even said he'd do it for nothing just to have the chance to work with me.
These three guys are all A players and in my minds eye should have 'made it big'. But we all know those sorts, don't we!
