If this goes ahead, and apparently it will, it may be the beginning of others following a similar approach and it would then be very difficult for Internet surfers to download from the likes of Limewire, etc...

This has been happening in the UK for the past year by a lot of ISP's Pat. There have been numerous letters sent to users who still continue to abuse the Law. They have adopted a three strike rule inwhich after your third strike you are out. I think the only ISP that have refused to adopt the rule of Law is TalkTalk, they feel it is not their business to monitor and police their users. It will be interesting to see how many people will receive letters. I remember one case a man was charged £900 for downloading an arcade pool game for his PC. He wasn't only charged for the game in questiion but the distrubution of it to others. Something a lot of user should bare in mind.
