You need to go into "profile" then click on "modify profile" remember to re-enter your password on the next page and enter your whereabouts in "location". JohnG. Just to point out that there shouldn't be any need to re-enter your password if only adjusting your profile to say where your are from.

Hullo frae Bonnie Scotland ,I was born in Ellon just north of Aberdeen and have stayed in Aberdeen /Aberdeenshire for the major part of my life .I stayed for a few years in London during the early 70's, which was a magical time for the hippie within me. I've always played the guitar and sung and dabbled with the keyboards without ever becoming proficient like my fellow Aberdonian ''Weeo''. I used to write comedy tunes for a local radio station and I never took singing on stage seriously until I joined you guys and gals two years ago. It's only when you do, that you really start to appreciate the hard work that the many troopers on this site have gone thro' I salute you all Regards Bigmike

Just to point out that there shouldn't be any need to re-enter your password if only adjusting your profile to say where your are from. Whoops, maybe my mistake! I could have sworn when I tried to change something many moons ago it wouldn't accept it unless I first re-entered the password. I've just tried to alter something without re-entering the password and it has told me "the two passwords do not match". Put in the password again and bingo. But I was changing the user notes not location. Sorry Pat! JohnG

No worries, John. The passwords usually comes into play if you are doing major altering, a new email address for example, or changing your password altogether I will look more into this as things may have changed when we had the upgrade some months back.

Don't misunderstand my post Pat, I'm quite happy that it requires a password before anything to do with my profile is altered. Good security. All for it. JohnG.

I live in a small town called Wondai (about 3.5 ours North-West of Brisbane - the capital of Queensland), Australia. I love it here - no traffic lights - 1 roundabout and I commute 10 minutes to my job as a teacher in the next town. I look out over paddocks and bushland from my back verandah (the only downside is I own an acre block and it takes 5 hours to mow with a push mower (lol)).
regards
Warren

Hi Warren, Is that anywhere near Bribie Island? I went there in 2001 to train some people who work at the satellite communication earth station just across on the mainland. I stayed at the Bribie Island motel situated on a little inlet next to a bridge. Amongst others, I took this picture of the bridge going over to the mainland. An unforgettable trip. Loved the placed, the people were so friendly, loved the GlassHouse mountains. Downside; I was lecturing for four days, hardly slept, and had the most severe jet lag when I got home. Slept for a week! Great country. JohnG

This is the village my family hail from...Ardagh, Co. Longford. The Village Green.. The Clock Tower... This is the ruin of St. Mels church...built by St. Patrick himself For his nephew Mel to carry on the faith. (Incidentally, Mel Gibson was named after St. Mel....his mother hailed from Longford.) Here is Fetherstone House, (now a Convent)...Oliver Goldsmith wrote his famous play "She Stoops To Conquer" after an incident involving him at this house... And finally, St. Brigid's R.C. Church...one of only five with this Gothic design in Ireland... It really is a beautiful Village, and has won Ireland's tidiest town on numerous occasions.

Hi JohnG - Wondai is about 3 hours from Bribie Island. You probably wouldn't recognise Bribie now - heaps of land development, shopping centres, highrise apartment blocks You're right - it was a beautiful place, which I feel has been spoiled by urban sprawl. regards Warren ps - my door is open to anyone that would like to visit country Queensland - we are situated in the middle of a relatively new wine region - and they're winning awards.
