Hi Guys It's ages since I've played any files in sonar and I'm a bit out of practice I have a file I'm playing in Sonar and it looks like there is music on channel four but no sound coming from it, it's a file as it was from new so unedited, if I look in console view the slider is all the way down, but if I push it up there is still no sound, is there another volume setting I'm missing, I think I've attached a document showing sonar view Many thanks Jacqui jacquidean1@yahoo.co.uk Attachments:sonar view.doc (244 KB)

Hi Jacqui
Could be the guide instrument sometimes found on channel 4 that could be turned downor off if your sure there's def an instrument on that track highlight it go into View/Event List and and look for Control (under Kind) either Volume/7 or Expression/11 if the number on the right of either of them is set to Zero then the volume has been either turned down or switched off altogether. If you want to increase the Volume or Expression on any of them just highlight it and on the right type in whatever value/volume you need between/1-127 .

Solo but still never had any sound,

Got the answer from Barry, turned out to be the melody track that was turned down on the volume settings
