My two sons are really into the guitar of late, and so much so I decided to buy them a couple of cheap electric ones to help keep them interested. My boys are 10 and 14. In any case, I did some research and came across what I think is an incredible deal from gear for music .com. In fact, it a complete set; guitar [Strat copy], 15 watt amp, strap, stand, electronic tuner, DVD for beginners, extra set of string and a couple of plectrums. All for 99 quid [sterling] Well, at this price I ordered one set first of all to see if the guitar was any ways decent. It arrived yesterday and I have to admit I am amazed at the sound, which exceeded my expectations, so much so I have already ordered the other one Here a link to the one I just got: BLUE Electric-ST Guitar & COMPLETE PACK

Thanks Gerry. I am not sure they'll go that far, but they are improving an an incredible rate for a couple of young fellows, I mean these boy are doing complicated chords like F sharp minor and C sharp minor; which are used as part of the chord sequence in the Shadows' classic Foot Tapper, when played in A. They only learned the chords to this tune today, they already know Apache Well, the rhythm...but give them time. They're only playing a couple of months. I'm proud as Punch ;d

Thanks Tom, much appreciate that. Thanks also for the link. You are right about the scales; I wish I had taken the time to study them years ago as it would have made things a lot easier for me
