Hi members
Hi once again hangout members & staff, many apologies for my recent absence, unfortunately its been a bit up & down in the Simmo household, things are looking a bit clearer now thank goodness. I am having a few little health problems which have been building up unnoticed for quite a while (12 months or more ) After various recent CT scans of my brain etc I have been diagnosed as having a short term memory loss problem which is a bit of a nuisance although I must admit ,handy at times. Added to this I have another issue with my white blood cells being far to low which is currently under investigation, more scans tests including a bone marrow biopsy . Just for good measure Patricia & I have just been through a family breakup with one of our siblings our daughter ( we adopted her at 6 weeks old ) & she has been a huge problem for us for the last 30 years or so.
We are so blessed at having our three sons & families who have helped us immensely & finally stepped in to say enough is enough, & that we will not see you abused mentally & financially any more. This of course led to a lot of upheaval for us both. With this episode in our life over we can look forward to a more enjoyable life, lets face it who needs these sorts of issues at our time in life..
Ok I have had my little gripe, now back to normal stuff, our big trip to the UK is still on target leaving 29th May until 14th August & we are certainly looking forward to it, we will be based in Arundel Sussex with Patricia’s niece & from there we will be able to see lots of England, including Scotland & other places which we have never been to. We realise that the weather is unpredictable but thats not important.
I am back into my oldies music gigs & enjoying it, thank goodness my little problem hasn’t stopped me from performing although I really do have to concentrate all the time, also I am still able to make up new backing tracks using sonar/cakewalk,in fact some of them are improving.
Our weather has been pretty hot recently also a big problem with bush fires in our area.
Best wishes to all staff & members .Ole Simmo
