Editing lyrics in a kar or mid file

Very often the lyrics are wrong and I have an urge to correct them. However I cannot find a way to do it.
Does anyone know? Is special software required?
I need this to have zero cost so freeware would be the way to go but I have not found any.

Try this as well. It is PSRUTI and it is freeware and easily edits embedded lyrics in midi or kar files.
