Went to see Marty Wilde and The Wildcats last night. What a performer! Turned 70 last year and still in great voice. Truly an inspiration to us all.

Ken He is one of the last British rock n rollers left from that golden era, he could write good songs as well as perform them. Lots of other artistes have covered his work. By the way Ken, did he do the whole evening on his own or did he have a support act?

Hi Ian The Wildcats (actually a very good band in their own right) did the first half and Marty + Wildcats did the second half. Actually marty looked shattered as he walked (almost hobbled) off so I doubt he could have lasted the full show. However he really gave it his all whilst on stage. He doesn't do autographs after the show anymore but that's probably because he has to recover. I believe Cliff (and some of The Shadows) are the only other ones from that late fifties era still rocking.
