I have a singer friend looking for a basic easy to use midi player, I said Vanbasco but it does not save changes.
this is what he asked me for..........
Can you help with advising me what pc programs can alter midifiles and save then. Bear in mind i'm not too good with advanced programmes. I'm using Windows 8.1 I want to load a midifile & modify it and save it to the pc hard drive. Then write it to a cd and finally transfer it to a minidisc. Free if possible
Any ideas Guys Jacqui

Hi Jacqui,
Maybe try Anvil Studio at anvilstudio.com . The basic program is a freebie and tutorials are kinda 'built in'. This will allow you open, edit and save MIDI files.
There are extra, added cost add-ons, which allow additional ways of recording the audio. Some time since I last looked at it, but the author seems to be keeping it under continuous development. Check that it's 8.1 compatible tho'.
Kind regards, JohnG.

Thanks John I forgot about Anvil, that's a good one to check out, someone mentioned Karafun to me but not sure if you can save changes or not.
