Hi Jacqui, I use Audacity. I know you've had problems with it and so did I when I first installed it. There are tutorials on you tube how to install and use so that's what I did and eventually I got it to work. It took a while though.

I've been trying that Audacity, have you found anyway to sync record with Spotify?
Have you tried any of those programmes that say thay download the tracks without having to record?

Well Jacqui, how it works with me is :
I have both Spotify and Audacity started ( minimise Spotify ) Go to Audacity and push the record button.
Minimise Audacity and play the Spotify track. Make sure Audacity is recording.
Once the track has finished crop the intro to suit then > file > export selection and follow pop ups as instructed to save in folder.
As I said before there are tutorials on You Tube that maybe explain it better than I can .
It works for me and I followed all the tutorials.
