Changing the key on an MP3

Hi
Can anyone advise on how I can change the key of an MP3 and also increase the volume, a friend made and he gave me a copy but sod's law it's not in my key and the whole track seems a bit on the quiet side

Hi Bob

There are tons of progs out there for doing this but a  free one for changing pitch and tempo like  Audacity  might be your best bet

  And for volume changing another free prog called MP3 Gain if your stuck there's tones of info out there.

Keep in mind though unlike midi files you can only do so much with mp3's can't change or edit instruments etc  and as regards changing keys your kinda limited as well (for best results change key  up or down1 full octave after that it could all go pear shaped
