Hi Guys
looking for some advise on what sort of soundcard to get for a windows 7 pc for a mate of mine and myself.
would prefer an external box, and must be able to record in and out of pc, he has stuff on mini discs and wants to record them all onto the pc into mp3, and also record tracks from live streaming music sites like spotify,utube so it would need digital and phono rca in and out for the mini disc.
I currently have an onboard creative soundcard on windows xp but is not compatible with windows 7, that uses the Creative MediaSource player to record, which is very easy, but don't know what other type of music recording software is around, I tried audacity before but could never get a decent recording with it, loads of hiss, and it seems so complicated, so looking for an easy alternative.
