Not sure who is going to win it. If England do by some miracle lift the trophy, I will run naked from Clacton pier to Southend pier (not a pretty sight either).
One thing I do know is Wayne Rooneys best position though, ............................................. next to the window in Club class, on the next flight home.
Come on England.

I wouldn't go that far Ian. I agree he is not the player he used to be and nowhere near it. I blame Alex Ferguson for that. The first time I saw him I thought he was the best English player since Gasgoine. That Injury against Bayern put a stop to that. Alex should not have played him in the second leg. Since that night He has been only a shadow of his former self. He is still a class act but only in spasms........G

hate to sound boring but cant see past Brazil[playing at home] Spain[holders],Germany [perennial finalists]and Argentina[ex winners and form side],Belgium have a young and promising side and England have some flair players for once and Holland will beat themselves. Bigmike

England for the semi's ?? What do you think? Their best side in years. Personly I would not have taken Lampart he's too old and can only play in bursts. I still think there is more to come from Rooney and he has to prove himself but I think Hodgson will have the bottle to substitute him. Will be interesting. Dont write them off.

I think Argentina have an edge on Brazil and for the Europeans you just cant go past the Germans. So for me its one of these two. Jimmy

Having to listen to TV pundits for the next decade will not be easy but I still think England will do well. A lot will depend on how the midfield and strikers are able to track back when needed. They are young. I think this will be a factor for all teams in the heat but I think on this issue youth will prevail. I think they also need little more of the hard man antics that Honduras had especially in midfield. Germany have this................Any Thoughts?............G

At least England wasn't hammered like Spain and Portugal. While Italians beat England, I don't think they are a match for the Dutch or the Germans who both look impressive so far.

Think your right Michael, the Dutch and the Germans look good. Spain & Portugal two of the big hitters didn't turn up. Ronaldo has not given his injuries time enough to heal and this is dangerous. He is carrying Hamstring and Thigh problems and therefore should not be playing. Look at Rooney! Ferguson played him in the replay against Bayren Munich and he was carrying an injury. Since then he has been only a shadow of the player that played in the first leg. Still Jim's (Maverick) eachway France prediction is also looking good.............Long live Football........G
