Hello all,
I am looking for an edit of this midi of "Thank You For Being A Friend" by Andrew Gold...Basically I bought the file from a well known backing track/midi file company,and now after speaking with the owner of said company on the phone,now he tells me that this particular sequenced "version" was sequenced off the version of the song for the tv show "Golden Girls" that used this edited song for their jingle. It has a much shorter bridge section than the radio version,and I was unaware at the time that what I had bought was the edited "for tv" version since there was nothing listed on the site,and you assume it will be the radio version unless otherwise specified. I wanted the radio version,which is a few more bars added,and a few other things thrown in that section as well. The rest of the song is technically correct.But unfortunately the owner refused to help or offer credit.It is a big letdown,but I assured him that he has now lost a customer for his inactions,since I did bring the mistake to his attention. They should have stuff like that marked specifically if it is not the radio version that everyone knows!
First thought I had with all the great talent and help that is here in MH,that someone might be willing to give it a shot. I'll include the original "radio" version of the song in mp3 with the correct bridge,and then the midi(in .wrk format and .mid) that I got that has the shorter section and needs correction to match the radio version.
Mp3 mark is 2:46 to 3:20 for the section in question
Midi bars(in cakewalk) Approx 79 to 87
