I have just discovered the Midi Hangout site & forum. Looks like a lot of midi maniacs like myself hangout here.
I'm a longtime user of Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 & before. I used a Roland SCC1 sound canvas for years but now use Roland JV-1010s.
I have created a sys ex file that allows me access all the Banks in the JV-1010.
You have to be in Performance mode to access all the banks. The sounds are excellent plus many drum sets.
I have a duo and I use a Playlist in CW along with 2 x Jv-1010s. The second one I use strictly for Bass through a bass amp.
With 2 JV-1010s - the midi files need to be saved as Cakewalk format in order to save all the settings properly.
It requires two midi ports to work. I use a Midisport 2x2 usb midi interface & Win XP.
If anyone needs help with Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 just ask.
It's a great program to edit & prepare files for live performance.
