Hi Folks, just another bit of local info from Ole Simmo, this time regarding our current weather, it has been an extremely dry summer this year in our part of the world which means that water restrictions are a normal part of our lives, watering the garden is limited to twice a week where reticulation is involved with limits on hand watering as well. Our garden is really suffering at the moment what with us being away for a while we have lost a lot of stuff, we have now not seen any rainfall at all in our area for the last 102 days with none on the horizon in the near future. Temperature wise these days are in the mid 30's which is not to bad, it is certainly more comfortable than the spell of 40c plus temps we experienced a little while ago. Patricia is not to fond of the extreme temps even after all of these years that we have lived out here ( we are now in our 47th year ) where has the time gone .Starting from a family of four when we arrived we now have increased our family to eighteen which includes two more for us plus all of our son/daughter-in-laws as well as nine grandkids...I must admit we certainly did what was asked of us when we left the old country and that was to " go forth and multiply". .
Our next adventure begins in August this year when Patricia and I make what may well be our final visit to the Old country, we have our dates and tickets booked and we are both really looking forward to making this holiday really special, we will be spending about eight weeks in the UK starting off in Sussex where we both have a few close remaining family, and then from there we will be moving around the country where ever takes our fancy, on our last visit some years ago we were fortunate enough to get across to Ireland but did not get as far as N Ireland so this is a must this time. Scotland would be great to visit as well. The icing on the cake for Patricia and myself would be to be able to meet up in real life with some of the great guys and Gals on this forum, on our last visit we did just this and it was one of the highlights of our visit.
All the very best wishes ...From The Simmo's
