Hi folks, have been seeing a lot of footage on our tv stations regarding the extreme weather the UK has recently been experiencing , wow!! what a disaster, it really looks bad in a lot of the areas, is it still ongoing or has the worst of it passed ??, also what has the temperatures been during this spell of weather. I realise that it is your winter season but even I whom having lived there for around 28 years can’t recall ever seeing it that bad. Climate change maybe....
Out of interest I did a check on our own local weather for the last eight weeks and came up with these official stats.
Starting from the lowest day temperatures as follows.
6 days with a top temp of...............28c
3 days .................................30c
1 day...................................31c
5 days .................................32c
5 days..................................33c
8 days..................................34c
7 days..................................35c
3 days..................................36c
2 days..................................37c
5 days..................................38c
3 days..................................39c
2 days..................................40c
2 days..................................41c
2 days..................................42c
1 day...................................43c
of course our nights are cooler but in saying that we did have one night when the temp stayed around 28c which was a little uncomfortable. We still have a few more weeks of warm wether to come before we get into Autumn, the downside is that both Patricia & myself really feel the cold during our cooler months, living in an open plan house doesn't help either, its great for the warmer months but in our winter we on cold nights we huddle around a gas heater.
Best wishes to all...The Simmo's
