Tommy
Just reading the manual for that kb and from pages 50-54 it explains all about loading your usb files formatting etc have a good read through it and it should all become clearer.

What is your make and model of keyboard,Tommy? Looks like a very nice board, complete with all those rhythm and accompaniment buttons.

That is why I suggested to take a flash drive to the shop,so you could watch how the guy sellin it installed the files,or if he didn't know it was up to him to find out.

Tommy Your best option anything related to Yamaha keyboards is here just have a look or sign up as I'm sure you'll probably use them again. I used them a lot when I got my one they're all very nice over there and very understanding of newbies not like some websites I visited in the past. Tommy, Check this out.. www.manualowl.com/m/Yamaha/PSR-E433/Manual/288822Seems like you have to download and install a "yamaha musicsoft downloader" which will allow you to save the .mid files to your instrument via internal storage OR USB thumbdrive as you stated you wanted to do. It seems to me yamaha is incorporating some type of proprietary setup, since you can't just load the midis on the stick from your computer, plug it in your keyboard and play them, you HAVE to copy the midi files first via the musicsoft program and that program converts those midi files to a format that the keyboard will read. That link will tell you step by step how to load midis on your usb memory stick. Hope this helps... Take Care.. Mike

Tommy I agree with Sequenzzer(Mike) on this one much more convenient and quicker to use Musicsoft Downloader. I use to use this method all the time when I first started usb host from kb to usb in pc to communicate and just transfer files back and forth if need be . Here's a link to that prog and other software you might need I think the one you want should be third on the list maybe depending on your setup. cheerz Barry download.yamaha.com/search/product/?language=en&site=usa.yamaha.com&category_id=16084&product_id=1629835
