Not sure it they can be done simultaneously or not I just edit them separately myself.

It can't all be done in one shot, but very quickly indeed.
In the Happy Birthday I posted to Shyam recently, I just typed in the text, highlighted the greeting by dragging the mouse over it, and then went along from left to right changing 'font face', 'font size' then the coloured ball, then B for bold from the icons. The forum software adds the codes progressively either side of the text you've highlighted.
Of course none of those options are available in the quick response, only when you select 'reply'.
Any help?
