Hi all,
As of last Thursday JG is on walkabouts in the UK with the lovely Susanne.
I did my duty yesterday as Father of the Bride and the speech seemed to be well received. I expect it was people just being polite though. A truly memorable day! It will stay with me for the rest of my life.
Stayed 3 nights in a B&B in a village called Littleton at The Old Manor House, where I have wireless access on my laptop. Leaving shortly and off to a little village in Dorset called Marnhull. A few days there, then across to Canterbury for a couple of nights, then back to Germany next Saturday.
Not sure I will have wireless acces everywhere so don't necessarily expect contact for a few days. I'll try though.
All the best, JohnG. Now F in L of Matt.

Thanks Warren. Have wireless at this B&B too. great. I can't pass the good wishes on to Vicky and Matt as they've just flown off on honeymoon. Kenya and Uganda, lucky beggars. JohnG.

Hi all, Well, that was short and sweet! Wedding was brilliant! Didn't fumble my lines too much and a few guests even said that they enjoyed my contribution! I think they were just being polite though. But, all-in-all, a truly unforgettable day. Long, long drives though, with roadworks going to the UK that meant we missed the ferry we'd booked. On the way back a huge wait to book into Dover docks and then the ferry was more than an hour late. In excess of 1500 miles travelled in just over a week. I'm shattered! JohnG.
