When my granddaughter moved to Australia a few weeks ago she left a 7inch archos tablet there were a few movies on it i watched one of them then all of a sudden when you click on a movie it pops up cannot play video media player error i don't know if i have clicked on something any ideas

Just media error Barry i've tried others vlc. etc no luck it was working alright before must have done something wrong

Tried your link Barry downloaded VLC it plays the movie but there is a curtain over the screen

Never heard of a curtain appearing in VLC Player I have an Camera App called Phone Booth that has a red curtain on the
desktop ok.......does this media play error appear before all movies you try to play?

Tommy Got me baffled that one maybe someone else can offer some more advice........did u try and download that media player again it could be corrupted what format are the movies in avi/mpg/flv etc? Barry  |

Tommy Just another thought are you sure the actual movies are still there I mean they could just be desktop shortcuts and the movies themselves may have been deleted  . Try right clicking on the file and go into Properties and see what size the file is. Barry |

Hi Barry I did what you said you don't right click on a tablet to get into properties you just hoid on it as you will know when i did this it and scrolled down no properties but it said details clicked on that read it then came out and clicked on file and to my amazement it played perfectly work that one out have you any ideas how this happened by the way the movie was called cowboys and aliens have you seen it

Tommy Great glad you have it sorted now anyway dunno what happened there my thinking there was either it had been deleted already or the media player wasn't properly associated with the movie . Your right was thinking of the desktop regarding properties doh!! every now and then we get these unexplainable glitches part and parcel of todays technology eh ;D No haven't seen that movie heard about it must check it out Cheerz Barry |
