Tommy I'm not that familiar with Dropbox but my daughter uses it for her college projects very handy too its just another storage website where you can upload/download and share or access your files from anywhere . If you don't use it I'd just delete it you must have mistakenly downloaded it somewhere. Barry

If you deleted it it shouldn't still be popping up did you delete through Control Panel/Uninstall Progs and did you reboot afterwards? What email client are you using and how are you trying sending the zip files ?

Tommy You must have somehow linked Dropbox with Yahoo Mail. You should be able to unlink it by changing the settings in Dropbox itself. This should explain how to do it. www.dropbox.com/help/973/en Cheerz Barry

Can u now send emails without Dropbox appearing ? Seems like Yahoo has now Dropbox built in and you can't revert back to the old Yahoo Mail some cheek they have as well without asking first but maybe you just downloaded without reading it first . You'll be able to send larger attatchments up to 25mb I think which is pretty good. Have you tried unlinking Dropbox through settings? Eventhough you've deleted Dropbox its still incorporated into Yahoo but you should be able choose whether you want to use it or not so you should be able to to deactivate it . Barry

Tommy
When you click on Compose on the right of the Attachment clip dropdown box it gives you the option of sending larger files using Dropbox but when you click on the Attachment icon itself it allows you to drag and drop files without using Dropbox.
Just installed it myself and it works fine for me don't think you can actually get rid of Dropbox altogether eventhough they closed down your account it seems to be integrated into Yahoo Mail now.
Try that and see how you go let me know ok

Yes they do Tommy Mp3s are almost 100 times larger than midis and wave files are about 10 times larger than mp3s. I think Yahoo Mail allows about 10mb max file limit try sending them 2 at a time ....with Dropbox you can send up to 25mb which allows you to send over double that amount. You should try setting up a Box.net acc whereby you upload the files and send the recipients the link to download themselves whether its pix songs or documents I use it a lot especially when theres a lot of big files. You'd need to set up an account but its free and very convenient . www.box.com/filesOtherwise you might need to install Dropbox again..... ;D Cheerz Barry
