Frank, I don't know your situation on how you listen to your harmony parts..(Do you have the capability of editing them? or just assign the track and play whatever is there in the midi already?) A BIG advantage of how I get my harmony sound is that I hardly EVER use the standard harmony track given with most midis...This is because when some of the midi programmers put them in,they always (chop) them up instead of correctly making them smooth. For example, when you have a three part harmony in the key of G,and say it lasts for 4 bars,I will hear most likely the G chord 4 times (GBD) (GBD) (GBD) (GBD) ,and as a result, you will hear the harmonies go on then off in succession 4 times. WTF? Sounds like crap. So I go in and edit in Cakewalk, remove the offending harmony track, and simply just play the G chord ONCE,and hold onto the notes for the full 4 bar length...Makes sense right, and the harmonies are intact, smooth, and no choppy musical waters. Of course this is very easy with this example, and a lot of MIDIS have a lot of harmony changes in different keys. This is why editing with a full blown keyboard workstation comes in handy. Let me get my stuff together, and I will PM you a link to a MIDI rock file that I use regularly on my gigs, where I removed the harmony track that was already there, and I played the harmony parts on the keys, recorded it as a track. Very simple harmony parts in this one,but I have some evolved ones that really took some time to figure out the chords, program them, and sound as realistic as possible on my part as well. Take Care, Mike

I write my notes in with cakewalk.I know what you mean about chopy and stretch notes out the same.I also make sure I switch voices off at end of file. I only use 2 voices but I was in a duo in New Zealand where we both had Voiceworks and we complimented each others vocals. I reset my machine and lost all my settings global etc I had not saved them in a data dump. You wouldnt have your setting written down anywhere that I could use and save a bit of time. Great machines eh !! Have you found TC Helicon facebook page they are giving away a free ipod on a survey. Im gonna do a Simmo and make a CD just need to get a few more egg cartons to line a recording booth.

Frank, No I'm sorry...I have not done a data dump of the global settings on the unit, but of course I have not done many changes at all from the original factory settings,so it's easy enough for me to put them back, don't feel the need to save them. Using notes mode,I mainly have made changes in the eq settings..
