Hi Guys Just downloaded this Browser Hijacker dunno what prog it came with but got rid of all my recent downloads just in case . It's called Qvo6 and its a bugger to get rid of its not very severe but its taken over my Browser and God only knows what other stuff might develop it's more annoying than anything else. Just can't seem to delete it tried everything including Malware Bytes(as its Malware) Spybot none of the Antiviruses will shift it either even Norton Power Eraser still won't shift it . I know ther's a few Progs out there like Spydoctor and a few others that'll do the job but don't feel like spending 30 or 40 bucks for a once off and I def don't feel like reinstalling Windows Maybe someone out there has came across this before so any suggestions would be vey welcome failing that I suppose I'll have to cough up ;D Many Thanx Barry

Thanx Gerry Tried that as well but the virus is hidden and I dont know what name its under so can't really follow that proceedure it also points you to a prog Spydoctor I think it'll do a free scan ok but won't delete until you register costs about 40 euros. Do you know if your friend had to buy that prog? Looks like I might not have any other option but to pay up but I'll keep trying as I say I can work away with Firefox for now but not happy about having that virus on my pc still. Thanx anyway for the tip. Barry

Thanx anyway for the tip. Barry I asked him and he ended up using Super Antispyware (free)...after installing it it will prompt you to buy the pro version but decline it and it then allows you to use the free version. System restore to an earlier date might work too but i guess it would be still lingering on your pc somewhere.....good luck with it mate...
