Simmo's missing Pic

Hi Folks,once again the ole bugger has stuffed up by making my icon (pic) vanish from the site,I was just deleting a few pics from Image shack when lo & behold it was gone,never to be seen again by human eyes...at least that was a plus for the forum members however the bad news is that Ole Simmo has placed another pic of yours truly onto Image shack but has forgotten how to replace my old pic on the forum,John G did set me on the right track once before but unfortunately I have mislaid the instructions so any help would be most welcome.My other problem is most of my current mugshots make me look really old so it may entail dragging through dozens of albuns from many years ago to maybe jag a half decent shot of the poor ole bugger. .....Simmo sorting through sixties albums

Hi Terry hope you and all are doin ok

You'll need to upload your pic to "Image Shack" and a few different links will appear.....you'll then need to copy the "Direct Link" address and paste into your "Avatar Url" in in your Midihangout Profile.
If your still having probs get back to me

I took the liberty of deleting those duplicate posts one pic of you is more than enough ..ha ha ;D

Dunno what went wrong there just tried it again myself and it works on my end no probs
the only thing I can think of is you pasted that link in the wrong place was it the "Avatar Url "space ya ? or else I gave you the wrong link instead of the "direct link"

And the maximum Avatar size is 100/100 as far I know so if its any bigger than that it prob won't work but you can choose the size of the pic before linking . I've done that again now for you so the link and the size should be fine .

Just check that both boxes width and height underneath are not over 100in each box otherwise it prob won't work.

I found an easier and less complicated way to do it for you ok

If you right click your image in your post overhead and "copy image location" go to "Modify Profile" and in the line that says"Avatar Url" right click your mouse and click paste .

Now as the image is too big just go to the box just below there and where it says "Avatar Width" and below again "Avatar Height" just put in 100 in each box... and then "Modify Profile" that hopefully should sort you out .

Good Luck losing nights sleep over this !! ha ha

Well getting there slowly but surely.....if you go into modify profile go to "Website Name " and Website Url" and make sure those 2 boxes are empty you could have pasted links in there by mistake thats why with every post your pic appears ......try it anyway and see how you go

Hi Barry,thanks for being so patient with me,I am determined to get it right perhaps Ole Simmo has got a bit of old age syndrome but before i have another attempt I must pass this little message on to the forum before I forget it..........

Glad its all ok now I know how frustrating it can be sometimes
but with a bit of trial and error we got there in the end .
