The great Irish Country singer Larry Cunningham has died at the age of 74, he had been battling cancer for some time.
I grew up listening to my Mums collection of Larry's songs, and one of the first Irish songs I sang at my first gig was his famous song Lovely Leitrum, it's still one of my favorites,.
He was one of the great artists of the showband era and will be sadly missed.

How sad,i have some very fond memories of Larry,he was a true Irish legend and a gentleman that always had time to talk with all his fans.

He lived just a few miles up the road from me. My late Father played the accordian with him years ago, a true gent...RIP Larry.
