DIY section for MH Forum members

Hi guys
Gibbo got me thinking ! He writes about how he keeps himself occupied with landscaping , building and other useful work.
I'm sur every one of us musos, keep ourselves occupied doing something or the other,and in the process inventing gizmos, creating stuff, while we sing or whistle a tune while doing it.
I suggest we make some space here for such interesting ideas. Advice, DIY project suggestions, pictures of the results of our experiments ............ anything , no matter how trivial they might seem to be.
As most of us are kinda night birds, I know we have time in our hands to experiment around during the day and it would be interesting to compare notes, learn from others.
Call it a Handy Man's Corner, if you may .
Think about it guys.

I've just built a gate.
Stuck up a few shelves.
Also installed a new cook top and oven.
Next project is to replace wardrobe doors with sliding ones.
Old doors may become a pair of speaker bins or a raised garden.
My tool box is getting larger thanks to Aldi's.

Geez you have Aldi downunder as well......

Bought some stuff off them over the years like saws drills and other tools ...cheap but none of them lasted maybe I'm just a bit too heavy handed I supp ;D

Cheap enough to last a couple of projects,My best buy was a tenon saw and mitre box for $9.
My wife buys all the cookware from Aldis.
At the moment they have "Stevia" sweetner tabs at $3.
Reckon the groceries cost about 30% less that the main supermarkets.

I have the same problem with stuff from Aldi's, none of it lasts....
I suppose you get what you pay for!

Well, aint I right ? !!! Look at all the Handy Men in our company !!! Wel, well, well, we know, now, what they've got piled up in their garages, but we know their special tricks and advice, dont we ?
How about "The Handy Man's Corner " ?
