So Ronny's away to Real....good riddance I say...and I say that as a Man Utd fan....how much longer was he going to hold the club to ransom?...80million..credit crunch?...what credit crunch?....isn't it amazing how the public ( including myself ) are disgusted with our MP's milking the system...but I'm sure that there are a lot of footballers earning in ONE week what an MP earns in a year and we don't complain about it......let's see how many want to stay in the UK next year when they have to contend with the 50% tax..

80 million pounds for 1 man. If Manchester United can find another 20 million from somewhere they could buy Newcastle United football club, lock stock and barrell.

According to the press the deal was done last summer would this maybe point to his apparent lack of form this season and possibly all the diving [he didn`t want to get hurt] but 80 million is nuts for any player i dpersonally don`t think any one man is worth that kind of money all it takes is 1 knock on the knee and the game for him os over money down the tubes If i was a man u fan i would say good riddance to him

As a man utd fan, I think we are better off without him as he was becoming an embarrassment with his antics. It's a cracking piece of business as far as man utd are concerned .As Weegeo says it only needs one bad injury and that Real Madrid investment goes down the plughole Regards Bigmike

Here's a thought! David Beckham, who in no way was in the same class as Ronaldo, in his first season at Real sold 25 million jerseys +++++ what ever else the Madrid marketing boys put his name to. Imagine the revenue Ronaldo will generate, after all he is probably the biggest high profile sportsman in the world today and the best looking..(I am not saying player) If Ronaldo was bought for his playing skills alone and scored five goals per match he would never repay that 80 million. This is not about football. This is about money and Real Madrid will have most of, if not all of their transfer fee back by the end of next season.

I agree with that thought Sweeney, I always think that theres's a point in a footballer's career when he stops being a footballer and instead becomes a marketable commodity. Ronny has reached that point Regards Bigmike
