A big hi folks, its been a little while since “Ole Simmo “has touched base,many apologies for that,I”ve had a bit of stuff happening over the last few months but hopefully just a few more tests & scans will make things a lot clearer,i guess i have a lot of catching up to do with the forum missed birthdays ,gossip etc plus all of the forum news etc.Patricia & i have just had a most welcome break with a great two weeks in Bali,this holiday has been pending since before Xmas 2011 but had to cancel twice due to a few hick-ups but it was all worth it, we really enjoyed the break, weather ,food,hotel (The Lokha Legian),people,all wonderful,i actually took my ac guitar as well which was a hit with the staff & patrons as i did a bit of performing around the pool area just to keep my hand in. It is only a 50 room hotel & this was our 2nd time there but all very friendly staff etc, the other bonus is it is only a three & a quarter hour flight from Perth.Arriving back in Baldivis we still have winter conditions with a fair bit of rain which is always welcome,a few fine days with the temp getting up to around 24c but then back to winter conditions.I have been doing a few oldies gigs when i can but have been off-loading quite a few to our eldest son who also does them,the busking has been a bit light on weather etc but i am keeping my hand in & looking forward to summer.We have been following the Olympics with interest which are now just about to wind up,the competition is certainly making the medals harder to get.I will backtrack through the posts to get up to speed on all the topics & then i think some more of Ole Simmo’s Ramblings are due,(JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT IT WAS SAFE TO GET BACK IN THE WATER)
