Hi Guys Need some advise, I have an epson wireless printer being used with a Laptop running Windows 7, I want to print with it from my PC in another room, the PC is running Windows XP, they are both on a network, I have shared it on the Laptop, and I can see it if I try to add a new printer on my XP PC, but it comes up with a message that it needs the drivers for my xp pc, I tried a search but it does not find them. I have read different things on the net, so I don't know if I need to download the driver to the Windows 7 pc or my pc, when you share on the laptop it gives you the option to install additional drivers for sharing with other users, I tried that in the dropdown box, which shows Itanium or x86 which I think is the one, but that is just looking for an xp driver on the laptop, which won't be there, it shows it has the 64 bit one installed, so I'm not sure what to do next? help Jacqui

Though you might as well contact maintainance team from Epson www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/SupportIndex.jspThey usually could solve this kind of drive problem. Since before,I also encounter the situation as my running XP laptop, which is wireless keyboard with touchpad also, yet it cannot detect the drive once connecting with the Epson printer, lastly,it was settled down under the help with the maintainance team of Epson.

Well after several days of trying to get the printer working, today I finally managed it, I was not going to be beaten I just won my own gold medal for printer patience. I can't believe a modern printer could be so hard to set up, I was given the printer by a place I was working, it had no INK, or Discs, (I think I know why now!) It does everything except make the tea, retail around £80 at the moment, although I already have an old basic faithful Epson, it was worth a shot, got it working no worries with two laptops running windows & and Vista, but mine, no way not wireless, not with the usb, it would not detect it, tried everything on the network, and although it saw it no way would it install drivers, from the other shared PC, went through help pages, still no way, just found an update on the manufacturers site, run it and a new driver and hey presto we have lift off, (Well print off) I'm so excited ;D I just wanted to share my good news with you all, I just know you'll be really interested zzzzzzz, hey wake up ;D lol Jacqui Thanks for the tips and guys, la la la just printing off some business cards.
