Hi guys, what did you think of the concert at the Diamond Jubilee ? I hope I dont step on anyone's toes here, but I was quite saddened to hear Paul Mcartney . I wish he'd geared himself up to do ONE or TWO soul lifting shows to have the fans screaming for more. H is capable of doing that but it is a question of the mind being willing but the flesh being weak. I felt saddened to see and hear him "trudge" through the programme. He is responsible to his fans to do more. What is your opinion , guys ? Elton, Cliff and specially Stevie Wonder put their "ALL" into their acts, didnt they ? Would've loved to have seen Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler.

Yes Shyam, I'm a big Paul Mcartney fan and i thought he was suffering from throat problems, the drummer was singing in unison with him in the first song so i suppose that tells you the story. I heard him live in Glasgow last year and the vocal was perfect so it must have been a sore throat, which begs the question, was it too late to pull out? Was he on medication? I didn't enjoy Cliff either, he was sadly out of tune. Again i heard him live a few years ago and the show was excellent. I think he had monitor problems. Agree with the rest of your comments, especially why no Clapton or Knopfler. (Only my opinion) Eddie

Isnt Tom Jones over 70 ? Tina Turner's over 70 I think !!! WOW ............ they are spot on !! If Paul had a sore throat that day, its sad, but it WAS the Queen's Diamond Jubilee so he should've just backed out. Yes, Cliff did have probs here and there, but he did move around like a teenager, didnt he ? Just humble opinions of mine !!
