Hi Tommy, Shyam Lovely to talk to Shyam and yourself last night. An unexpected treat. Sounded like Shyam is enjoying his trip and some good old Scottish hospitality, provided by yourself. You,ve certainly made the guys here very proud of you and your efforts to welcome Shyam to our beautiful country. Well done. Shyam, we had a lovely conversation last night, you came across as a lovely warm person with lots of positive vibes . I hope you enjoy the rest of your holidays and manage to see all you want to see and do all you're hoping to do. Big Mike and I are so dissappointed we couldn't make it, maybe we'll make that invitation to India sometime, that would be something. Take care my friend and best wishes to you and your good lady.
Eddie
PS, i hope Tommy didn't fill you up with too much Scottish hospitality ( hic )

Tommy ,thanks very much for being a splendid host to Shyam, and it really was a great honour last night to talk to the great man himself,I felt like I was talking to an old friend such was the easiness of conversation. As you know I've had serious health problems recently, but after talking to Shyam I really felt invigorated by his genuine good wishes for my future wellbeing and like Eddie[Weeo],Iam seriously considering taking him up on his offer of a trip to India. Thanks again Tommy for bringing it all together Bigmike

Hi Tommy, what a great experience being able to meet a fellow member of the forum & who better than our much valued...the one an only man himself Shyam...a legend on the forum & a true friend as well,i loved the pic of the two of you taken in your home,i am sure you will always remember this moment,it was kind of you to have welcomed them into your home. Mrs Simmo & myself have had a similar experience when we visited the UK about 4 years ago when we were able to catch up with 3 forum members & their families in similar circumstances,it is an experience that we will never forget,we had so much in common with everybody,we hope to do just one more trip hopefully next year & make sure we have enough time to get to Ireland / Wales / Scotland etc,i will keep you posted on our plans. Best wishes to all....The Simmo's

I spoke to Shyam on the phone yesterday, he was on a bus trip around London, he's certainly brought us the good weather from India. I'm hoping to arrange a meet with him and his wife during the week if possible, before he goes back home, will be speaking to him tomorrow to try and arrange something. Jacqui

First chance I've had to come on the forum this week. I met up with Shyam and his lovely wife Heme on Tuesday, my Mum Margaret came with me, and we had a great couple of hours chatting and laughing with him and his family over in Kent at their bungalow. His cousin Prabha and her husband Richard made us feel very welcome in their lovely home, and we were treated to some tasty food and drink. It's a real shame we never met up earlier during his stay, it would have been nice for him to come along to one of my gigs and maybe sing a few songs, Shyam is a great singer, he gave me a CD which I listened to all the way home in the car, he is also a bit of a comedian, cracking jokes at every opportunity It was a real pleasure to meet them all. It would be smashing to meet again some time in the future, maybe in India you never know! I think Shyam will be busy spending the next few months sorting out all the pictures he took on holiday ;D all the best Jacqui
