Hi guy's, this maybe slightly premanture as we are only getting back on or feet again after the happenings of the past couple of months. Anyway I just would like to ask is there any plans to reintroduce both the guitar and keyboard lovers lounge? I used to find it very helpful especially with the knowledge that certain members namely, musicmaker (Tone Deff), Shyam and a few others from the Keyboard section used to bring . I learned a lot as I'm sure everyone will agree, it's the older members that have the experience and knowledge to guide us in the correct direction in the time of need. It was also a very good place to compare and contrast our new instruments and share settings, styles and sounds alike. Thanks kemo

Hi Kemo, This is going to happen very soon. As a (sort of) keyboard player myself I do like that board. I think it was originally suggested by the irreplaceable, Shyam

Hi Weegeo, I hope you didn't take offence by my "older Members" statement. I know you guys are all young at heart. lol lol In regards to your new cover for your 730 ( A keyboard that I have aswell) I don't think that yamaha supply covers/faceplates for their arranger keyboards. I may be wrong, but there is definitely a market for it as I also have a couple of covers that may need replacing. Maybe we could get one of the mods to move this topic to the Keyboard section where we might get a conclusive answer from the rest of the guys.

Hi there Kemo, lol lol lol lol as you get to know me better you`ll know i never to offence to being called `old`as you say we are all `young at heart` [good title for a song there lol] i have been trying for sometime to find a new cover for this keyboard as usual the corners get cracked. That may be a good idea about moving this post i have no doubt when the `old guy Pat` looks in if he thinks he can move it to a more visible spot he will. how about a little info on yourself `young man`lol what do you play? where do you gig` and how long have you been in the business [noseyiness comes with age lol] i`m 44 years this year gigging [will not so much recently] started playing drums and second vocals then moved onto keyboard [averagely] and lead vocals. There ya go the story of my life lol lol lol. If i can help with any files or whatever just ask
Regards
weegeo

Hi there weegeo, I'm sure Pat will send this thread to it's correct place. "A bit about myself" I'm 32 years young from Co Tyrone, home of Sam Maguire, the Kerry Lads may disagree with that statement. I have been playing in bands since I was 12. Started of as an accordianist in a local marching band. 3 All Ireland Senior medals and 1 Junior at the local Fleadh Ceol, not bad for a 6 year stint. Started playing guitar around the age of 13 and was part of a 5 piece band when I was 15-16 " I looked older than I was" lol. My father who I have looked up to throughout my playing career is a 60 year old Folk singer/musician that has also played in bands from the age of 16. He still works flat out in the local circuit. I have been a part of a two piece band now for 10 years Playing Keyboards and Vocals. I love music of all genres and I also love learning from people who have applied their trades throught many a year. I am married to my lovely wife Anne-marie and we have 3 beautiful boys.
Once again Weegeo If I can help you with anything just shout. I loved the PSR 730, it was one of my first Keyboards 10 years ago. Replacing the floppy drive was the only thing I had to ever do with it.
Take Care
Kieran
Once again, Sorry Pat but could we get these posts moved to the correct area. Sorry!!

OK Lads, This thread has gone too far off topic, which was asking about the reintroduction of the Keyboard Lover's Lounge. Anyway this topic is now closed. Thanks everyone for your contributions. Incidentally, the Keyboard section has now been set up and can be found here: midihangout.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=keyboard PS, only threads can be moved and not individual posts. Sorry about that. The only way to move posts is to manually copy and past them. One way would be to go to the Introduction's section and say (again) a little about yourself there.
