So sad to hear that Frank has passed away,I played a gig with Frank late 70's, he really was a laugh a minute and had the whole band in stiches before ,during and after the gig. There was a band call before the show to rehearse a song with him,but he never got round to doing it. He said ,to the audience, we had rehearsed a song specially for the show , but the band are so bad i think i'll give it a miss. We sat on our chairs for an hour and a half and played nothing just laughed. Favourite Frank joke i saw in the papers this morning " I went in to the chemist for some viagara . the chemist said, do you have a prescription? I said no but i've got a photo of the wife.
RIP FRANK CARSON

When asked what he put his popularity down to he said, "there's nothing offensive, you can watch me with your granny or your grandkids". You don't need a foul mouth to be funny!

So sad about `uncle Frank`i was away when the news broke and almost everyone in the hotel was devastated. I knew Frank from his very early days when he would do a show called`midnight matinee`in a local cinema called the `troxy`Frank never mentioned this show when he was talking about his life [i`ll talk about that some other time] I worked with the `big fella`on a lot of charity shows he would always give his time for good causes and he never got the `big celeb`syndrome he was a working class man and a working class comedian his jokes could be told in front of your Granny. Heaven is most assuredly a much better place now that Frank is there, when God does his miracles now i can hear Frank standing behind Him saying `That`s a cracker`
Rest in Peace uncle Frank your works done
