Hi Shyam! I had the one of the first generation of these processers I think it was the Voice One. I bought it because I thought it was a dedicated Harmony Machine but it wasnt. I then bought the Voice Works. There is a few of these particular processers from TC Electronics available. I think the one you are refering to is a dedicated harmony processer. It has a few other features as well but I think its main task is harmony processing. My advise to you is before you spend is to research. These things have come a long way and this range is the best by a long shot but there are a few of them. you will see when you start to check them out. What I am saying is to buy this one you are not getting the full benifit of these things and for a few quid more you could get the Voice Works Plus that has Real time Pitch Correction. Great Pre-amps and effects, Etc:. Check out the Sound on Sound Web. Go to Readers Ads then Reviews and check out what the professionals think of them. You might be able to get a used one with the full features for a few bucks more. Hope this helps.. Gerry

Shyam, if you fancy something like that, I'd check out the Voicetone Harmony M from TC-Helicon. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJvN0Ct-EcAWorks off midi and probably a fraction of the price of the aforementioned.

WOW . its fantastic !!! I checked quite a few of th YouTube videos on the Harmony M and its truly amazing . I understand the harmony can be triggered by the Midi, which is interesting . The price $100/- ?? or did I get that wrong ? Thanks for the link whitevision.

I think they are around $250 -300.mine was $265 canadian. It comes in two versions, the HarmonyM (midi) and harmonyG (guitar), I previously used the Digitech VL2, but find the TC suits me better as it has presets and "Octave up"..

What a great bit of Kit. I use the voice harmony function on my Tyros, and find it to be excellent.

I’d dearly like something like this too. I’d prefer however if there was one that would work solely with your voice and is not so dependant on using a MIDI interface. Does one like that exist?

Folks
I use an item called a Digitech Vocalist Performer. This is used with your voice, and does not rely on Midi. Its "ok" ...not by any means a substitute for another person singing harmony, but can sound reasonable with some songs.. Let me have your views if you are aware of it

I bought a TC Helicon Voice One (I think it was this one) which was basically a pitch corrector. Anyway it didn't seem to work so I could only assume I must have been singing in tune! So I sold it again. I wanted the harmoniser but thought it too expensive and anyway it only works on the guitar chords so you have to make sure you play it right! Also I believe you have to set the key for each song so that it recognises what is required. This didn't sound like it would be too easy to use overall in a set that has a wvery wide range of material in it. I would really like to borrow one to try though. Buying one for trial, as I have proved to myself on more than one occasion has proved to be a costly mistake. I hope these observations are of some value. Ken

Hi I have just watched the YouTube video and the Voice Live does sound great - BUT - it sure does need constant input from the user! I don't think I could manage this in a live situation what with all the other things that might also go wrong. As I thought you need to program the key and the scale type in for each song so you really need to have a fixed set list to sort this in advance. As most single artists vary their routine according to audience reaction, this would not really work. I sure would love to hear from someone who successfully uses such a device on a live set. Ken
