Hi All,
Since there seem to be a good group of you who use CWPA9, I thought it might be a good idea to share this with you. My copy came with a proper book, but I discovered this on the main CD:
Enjoy! JohnG.

Thanks John....i love cw9 i keep coming back to it. I think i like it so much because of the guitar neck u can use to program tracks. I use the guitar nect to input chords and melodies and change the sound to piano or organ.

Yes, for a guitarist I imagine that is a very useful feature. Not a bad program CW or Sonar for that matter. I do prefer the old Yamaha XGworks for controlling my gear but CW has some great features in it. I don't like the way CW handles sysex messages though. Although what it does makes it universal, whereas XGworks is very brand specific. Each to his own I guess. JohnG.

Hey Howdy Hello and Pleased to meet you all, my first post!
I used CWPA9 for several years until my life, and most of my music gear, started falling apart... No, don't cry for me, I AM BACK!! - and I got an Ewi, which forced me back onto the computer - to load a Soundbank into it.
It is day FIVE of trying, lol. No sleep, clumps of hair strewn about the apartment, and the neighbors are getting worried {"What was all the shouting? Was there a fight?"] -kidding!!!
But seriously, a tutorial on CWPA might save the day!! So, where are the links? Who do I pay?

Hi Headwin, First a reassurance - no payment required. Some while ago I decided to create a little forum of my own with my tutorials on it. It can be found here midi-tutor.proboards.com/index.cgi. It's not intended to compete with the general MIDI chit chat and file sharing that can be found here. You'll have to become a member to get at the CWPA tutorials though, although there's no fee for it. Just as an aside though, I'm not sure whether soundfonts or sound banks can be loaded into CWPA. Maybe someone else on this forum can tell us whether they've done it successfully. For sound fonts I use a freebie program called Synthfont or its VST version Syfon. Hope that's of some help? Kind regards, JohnG.

John, thank you so much for the link,I've used CWPA 9 for as long as I can remember, and so many times I've learned what I needed to learn over all this time by experimenting(with much frustration) because I didn't have the manual. Now for all those who use the software,we all have something to fall back on,and I might even find something I've missed over the years...Thanks for all the incredible help you give and continue to give,it is much appreciated!
Take Care,
Mike
