Copy and Paste Dilemna in Vista

Hi Gang.. ........can someone please shed some light on this very niggly problem Im having in Miocrosot Works 8.5.......each time I need to paste some text into word I get the following error message :

The information you copied exceeds the size limit for pasting into Word Processor
Try reducing the size of you selection and try and copy and paste again

I'm trying to copy maybe just the lyrics of a song so the size is not the issue here........Ive tried reinstalling the Prog ...defragged Vista emptied my cache cleared my temp files etc with no luck searched various forums etc but can't seem to find a solution ....now the same thing has happened on my laptop on another ver of MS Works 8.5
could this be a virus or compatability issue with Vista here ?Ive done a scan everythings come up clean........this is getting very annoying at this stage ....oh yes nearly forgot I can copy and paste into Notepad and everywhere else without a prob......any help greatly appreciated.........regards Barry

Geez Pat actually found a solution after nearly a fortnight searching in the space of ten minutes since I posted this .......thanx a million Pat was even thinking of getting a new Office Prog but this works a treat now its unformatted text but hey thats no big deal once I can copy paste thats all I need .........great now I can to start printing out some lyrics.... ;D ;D

My suggestion would be to drop Microsoft Works and download OpenOffice. It's a full office suite providing a lot of Microsoft Office compatibility, and it's completely free.
