8 a.m. Bucks Fizz 9 a.m. Smoked Salmon and scrambled Eggs 10 am. - 11 am Gin and Tonics 11.30 - visit family, well grandchildren really. 12.30- call in social club, quick pint of lager. 1 p.m. Help by watching wife cooking Xmas dinner. More Gin and tonic. Eat Dinner, good red wine to accompany. Major sleep then ensues. Thats my Xmas day. Merry Xmas one and all.

trying to get the wife to try goose this year.
Gave up eating turkey after years of my mums cooking. find it a little dry for my delicate tummy.
Yet not too delicate for a hot rum in the morning (Medicinal)
So probably gonna start with some nice home made museli and toast.
Goose with a rich wine jus gravy, all the trimmings, with my home made brandy & Porter cake i made.......
then that evening, the in-laws are around, so me and my father-in-Law get to plug in the mother in laws new chair we bought her for christmas.... ;D
Should be a SHOCKING experience!!!!!

Since I moved here I have got used to having a roast goose on Christmas day.
Sadly, since Susanne's mother passed away in July, it's now down to me to cook a turkey tomorrow.
I have a 4.6 kilo one in the advanced stages of defrosting. Up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to start the process.
Merry Christmas to one and all. Hope it's a joyous one for you with peace and happiness.
All the very best, Johng.

Interesting present idea for the mother in law Paul. I am thinking of next Christmas already, a loose electrical lead under the chair for when mine arrives on her broomstick tomorrow will have to do for 2011 though. Tiss the season for love and understanding, and peace and goodwill to all men, but it does not mention the mother in law so I guess I need no guilt.
