After reading John's post on lets have a laugh section about Ryanair i want to tell you a story on a more serious note about said company a few years ago my sister who lives in London was ill and my son Tommy said why don't you go and visit her i will pay for your flight i had a weeks holiday so i agreed so we booked the flight i did not have a passport but i had what you call a citizens card with photographic I.D. after all i was only traveling from Glasgow to London more or less the same country but they would not let me board the plane without a passport and would not refund my money since then i have travelled with different companies with a bus pass as I.D. Hi Tommy Read ur wee note about Ryanair. Damned disgrace. I wonder would the other Airlines accept ur form of ID for that flight. I remember when my wife and I travelled from Belfast to London about 10 years ago to attend my neice's wedding and our driving licence (which is photographed) was acceptable. The Airline wasn't Ryanair. I think the general rules may have changed but I'm not sure. In my opinion not refunding the fare, is taking money under false pretences. Absolutley ridiculous.
