A written apology to MH members

Hi all.

It has been a few years since i have heard or seen you all here, and a bitter pill this is to swallow. I feel and hope that some explanation and closure on this matter will clear the air and hopefully we can move forward.

I joined the now defunct MM forum a few years ago and was gifted with a moderator status for some part of that tenure. It was at this time i discovered the changes that the website was going through and the lies we were all being told, and asmuch as i tried to voice this, it was not being heard.

I knew from the off that some of the midis were plagarised by Glenn Humber, rehashed and called his own. it was then i decided to start the page FFAM with another paul who was once himself a mod on this forum.

Bottom line, there was a lot of things said that I regret, not only from myself, but words that were spoken from Paul #2 in my absence and on my behalf. This in turn led me to a turning point whereby i decided to bury my head in the sand and hopefully pluck up the courage to write this post

I personally think in the last few years i have somewhat "Grown up", Married a beautiful girl, have 2 amazing kids and rekindling my old love with MIDI and the people who make it real!!!!



I do not want to bore you all with my "Tale of woe", so what i want to say to you all is i am Deeply sorry if i have betrayed your trust and also to Pat, he is the one that deserved the biggest apology of all. i can only imagine the stress i put him through and then find out the underlying issues with his partners lack of transparency.

if you guys will have me back to the forum, i will strive to make amends with you all and it is my goal to hepl you guys make this forum what it deserves to be.

Well...however much i think i am perfect, deep down i know im not.. .

So i will start the ball rolling and say that i respect anyone who can stand up and say they are sorry. I will also say this....on more than one occasion i had words with you Paul...and probably lost the head in some of them more often than not. So in that respect i too apologise.

Welcome back to the Forum....the past belongs in the past. Lets move forward and continue to share our love for midi and music with all the fantastic members that reside here..

Thank you gerry, that sincerely means a lot to me.

And dont worry about losing the head, these things have to be done now and then, its part of human nature. besides, i dont think anything said between us was anything major, lol, ive genuinely forgotten anything said.

We can probably all look back & say we could have handled things differently, Glenn fooled a lot of people for atime, but that's all in the past at MidiMart, this is Midi Hangout, time to move on. Nice to "see" you again, Paul, I seem to recall you being a bit of a computer whizz.

We all make mistakes; it’s what we do with the knowledge gained from them that make the difference. If someone can show me a man or woman that never erred in the course of their life, then I’ll show you someone that never lived. God knows I have made my own share or errors and I like to believe I have learned something of value from them. One of the things I have learned down through the years is the value of forgiveness, especially for those who have made an effort to redeem themselves and I feel that you have done this in your post. So from my perspective you deserve every credit for that and of course forgiveness.

Congratulations, by the way, on finding the lady of your dreams and creating a family you are clearly proud of – as a family man myself I know how important the love of one’s family is.

Anyway, welcome back to the fold.

Welcome back Paul !!! It really feels good when we can forget all the grudges and forgive the slip ups etc , to look into the future and move on . Life is to too short and too precious to dwelve on those and its so much easier to smile and be friends with all.
I guess Glenn Humber's name had to come up , in the context of all that happened, but lets forgive him and forget whatever urged him to get on the wrong side. He was also a good friend to all of us and we need to bury the past and shake his hand in friendship. This is the time to show everyone, we care and there are no exceptions to our love .

Perhaps you will think me a cold blooded human being but, I do not, and never will, forgive Glenn. What he did was more than wrong, and what was worse is that he refused to admit it and reform, or apologize. To top it off he continued doing it through other means after he lost the ability to do it through the forum.
He was no friend to anyone. He was a false friend and that is also completely unforgivable in my eyes.
As I see it, he never got the type of punishment he deserved and I am sure that he is still up to his old tricks, after finding ways to get under my radar.

As for me, well I'm FAR from perfect and I know it only too well but, I have never purposely tried to hurt anyone or willfully abuse the privilege of friendship.
